About us
Our Mission
TripleSkillz was born out of a dream to offer a better life for young people who simply don’t conform to traditional school pathways and are in danger of becoming another statistic. A partnership between Graham Chambers and Rendall Munroe, which began in 2012 has grown to become the alternative education provision it is today.
When things go wrong for young people, one of the only options after expulsion is a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). In the UK during 2018, 35 young people are expelled from school every single day. For the most part these are boys. The expulsion happens in year 10 when the work towards GCSE qualifications kicks up a gear. Generally speaking, schools simply do not want to manage the poor behaviour of one pupil whilst being continually assessed on pupil improvement, on exam results and on the requirement for all pupils to tick the box and pass traditional qualifications. We want to help.
Inspiring self belief
TripleSkillz looks to find the solution with the individual young person, to find a way to motivate them, to inspire them, to provide the catalyst for self-belief, to engender some pride, to help the young person want to do something to help them feel fulfilled.
TripleSkillz offers an alternative when the young person is simply not cut out for the classroom. By offering an educational framework based on discipline and self-confidence, pride and strength that sport can offer an individual to find within themselves or when playing as a part of the team, TripleSkillz recognises that a pinch of self-belief, a chunk of self-worth and time focused on sport, can lead to astonishing results.
